Maybe we should stage our own anti-memorial, Troubled Mind. We could meet in Springfield, or where ever is half way between us and split a bottle of wine and some crackers LOL.

The World is going to end...
by The Quiet One in..one day, as will our lives.
any day could be the last day of our existence... with that in mind, how would you want to spend your final hours, if you knew that your life was going to end tomorrow?
what would you like to say on that last day, and to whom?.

I would want to spend my last hours with my husband and children, let them know how much I love them and how proud I am of them.

Dear Abby gives some good advice
by finally awake indear abby: my boyfriend was raised in a family that didn't celebrate holidays, including birthdays.
they converted to that religion when he was 10, and while he no longer identifies with that religion, he still doesn't recognize any celebrations.. i was raised with all the traditions surrounding the holidays and the family time that comes with it.
i feel they are very important.

DEAR ABBY: My boyfriend was raised in a family that didn't celebrate holidays, including birthdays. They converted to that religion when he was 10, and while he no longer identifies with that religion, he still doesn't recognize any celebrations.
I was raised with all the traditions surrounding the holidays and the family time that comes with it. I feel they are very important. I have tried explaining this to him, but his attitude toward holidays borders on hatred. He recently told me he wants me to stop including him in activities or conversations related to holidays and birthdays, and I'm not sure what to do. He finds the same activities acceptable as long as they don't happen around a holiday and are not associated with one.
Would it be unfair to ask him to compromise and share certain traditions with me, in light of the fact that he has no family traditions to bring to the table? -- NO HAPPY BIRTHDAYS
DEAR NO HAPPY BIRTHDAYS: You could ask him to compromise, but it would be unrealistic to expect that someone with his ingrained attitude will do so. A fish and a bird may love each other, but it doesn't mean they can happily cohabit. If you want a happy relationship, find someone whose traditions more closely resemble your own.
Maybe Dear Abby has been reading here? LOL

My life of Debauchery since leaving WTBT$-They were right!!!
by Gojira_101 insince april 1st will be officially 6 months and i will be considered inactive, i thought this would be a good time for me to review my life since leaving....and i guess wtbt$ is right in that my life would return to a debauched state if i left them...so here is my review and i'm being totally serious here.. .
sex: yes i have sex with my husband.....i guess we have returned to the world because we take advantage of our marital dues.. related to sex: no longer just missionary.
drugs: yes i have been taking drugs......my allergies have been so bad the last few days i just couldn't handle it anymore and i gave in to the temptation to take over the counter allergies medicine.. rock and roll: yes......i am no longer listening to the kingdom melodies (i never really did anyways), and have gone to listening to the devils music.

Well... I got my 'invite'
by Jim_TX inas most know, it's that time of the year when the jws go out 'in force' and bang on doors trying to leave their litter-ature for the memorial - aka 'memorial invite'.. this morning (saturday), i was at the local coffee shop - which is normal for me.
my wife was at home chilling on the sofa, in her nightie.. i got a text message around 9:30-ish saying that jws had been at our house.. when i got home, my wife said she was sitting on the sofa when she heard a light 'tap tap' on the door.
we have a doorbell.
